  • Position Summary

    Review, analyze, challenge and authorize payments for services and travel expense reimbursement to Independent Contractors (I/Cs) in accordance with applicable policies in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner to ensure positive auditor relationships. Maintain cost data in a manner as to support the reporting of timely and accurate metrics to LT members. Actively participate on all internal teams established for the purpose of dealing with I/Cs classified as Auditors. Assist the Cost Accounting Manager, as needed.

    Primary Duties

    • Accurately and timely process $26,000,000 annually in payments for services and travel expenses for 300+ independent contractors (8,000+ audits) utilizing three payment systems (MBO, eAuditNet, RMS), involving multiple currencies. 
    • Reconcile PRI flight cards (US and UK) to ensure appropriate accounting (cost center allocation) for flight expenses charged to the Corporate Business Account 
    • Preload authorized fees and work orders for all I/Cs under the MBO program utilizing specialized audit reports generated through eAuditNet. 
    • Perform regular cost analysis of direct expenses to identify policy weaknesses, opportunities for improvement, and trends.  Develop and maintain reporting metrics of such cost and make presentations to management on demand.  Determine through financial analysis and reporting, the effectiveness of policy or system changes.  Be able to provide solid financial data to support effective decision making. 
    • Act as backup support for AR / AP Accountant as needed. 

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
    • 3 years of accounting experience, or equivalent.
    • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with electronic spreadsheet applications and accounting software administration, NetSuite experience, desired.
    • Ability to respond with perceptiveness under variable circumstances.
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure of deadlines.
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong data entry skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.

    Travel:

    • Ability to travel occasionally

    Work Environment:

    • Ability to work for long periods at a computer/desk.
    • Standard office environment.
